    Thunder Bay:
    Prince Arthur's Landing Marina

MarinaThe Sleeping Giant guards the entrance to Thunder Bay harbour where grain elevators tower as living monuments to the City's origins as a trade and transportation centre. With more than 200 slips. Laundry facilities, washrooms, showers, fuel and pumpout are conveniently located at the south end of the Marina near Pier 1. Customs service is available and is prompted first by telephone. . Lifts, repairs and marine supplies are available at nearby marine centres.

Enjoy the walk, observation decks, picnic areas and playground in Marina Park and many summer time events includeing the Blues Festival, Wednesday Music in the Parks and Fridays Film Nights. A pedestrian overpass offers direct access to a wide selection of shopping and restaurants and eateries located within easy walking distance in the downtown business district. A self-guided architectural walking tour offers an opportunity to explore the City's heritage . The heart of the City's large Finnish community is just a few blocks away in the Bay Street neighbourhood where Scandinavian specialties are featured.

As the regional centre of northwestern Ontario, Thunder Bay boasts a wide assortment of products and services in malls and retail districts located throughout the city.

Just up the street from the public dock at Kam River Heritage Park in the south end of the city, the Thunder Bay Museum maintains an extensive collection of artifacts that chronicle more than 10,000 years of history while a block away the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame celebrates the athletic achievements of regional champions.

You can follow the winding Kaministikwia River further west to the world's largest reconstructed fur trading post. A cast of colourful characters brings history to life at Fort William Historical Park.

If you wish to explore further afield, visitor information is available just across the road from the Marina at the Pagoda.
